Ymelda (France) lives in Martinique, she combines traditional Haitian sacred rhythms with rock and African music influences. Carried along by the percussion, her soulful voice goes from soft to loud filling her music with depth and emotion.

Always in search of new experiences and her roots, this evening Ymelda will be presenting a fusion, a lienaj,

between traditional Haitian music and the oud, which is a musical instrument that is widespread in Arab countries. For the occasion, she will be accompanied by two resident artists Ihsen laribi (oud) and Ghassen Fendri (guitar), as well as M. "chromatic" (bass), M. keybiessou (drum) and M. Ricky Le Gladiateur (drums).

Ymelda (France) is a recipient of the Cité internationale des arts Writing committee.
