The Institut du Monde Arabe and the Cité internationale des arts are joining forces to organize this event with the artist Neysatu on the occasion of the Festival des Arabofolies, a festival of the arts, music and ideas. Act 4: Commitments! (February 28 - March 8).
Badiaa Bouhrizi, also known by her stage name Neysatu, is a singer-songwriter and composer from the Tunisian alternative music scene. Neysatu invites her audience to take part in a musical experience that is neither traditional, nor a sophisticated take on folklore or an artificial fusion, but simply authentic. Born out of the Tunisian underground scene, where she asserted her hybrid cultural heritage, her multiple sources of inspiration include African and classical Arabic music, as well as the new British scene.
Badiaa Bouhrizi (Tunisia) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts through the programme of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage Preservation of Tunisia.
