For this concert, Mateus Araujo will be presenting some of Chico Buarque de Hollanda’s most emblematic songs, arranged for a piano quintet and voice. It is also the chance to discover unique pieces composed for the occasion, notably the opening piece Poema pro Chico.
Mateus Araujo has invited the singer and actress Landa de Mendonça to join him, as well the young Brazilian musicians Walber Matos, Rafael Gonçalves do Carmo (violins), Adyr Francisco (alto) and Abner Borges (cello) who make up the quintet.
Mateus Araujo (Brazil) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts through the programme of the ICATU Foundation (Grupo Icatu S.A).
