For Sound(E)scape, Ghassen Fendri (Tunisia) revisits his musical heritage of the African continent by creating heterophonic musical landscapes, in which instrumental interpretations and sound manipulations are brought together in a contemporary perspective.
Combining elements of ambient music and post-rock, ethnic Tunisian music and afro, Sound(E)scape reflects the ideas of a free thinking artist with a creative and innovative spirit.
Ghassen Fendri will be accompanied by artists-in-residence Houda Chehaidar Fendri and Aida Nosrat (vocals), Hsin-Chun Chou (percussion) and Babak Amir Mobasher (guitar), as well as by guest artist Hafid Bidari (guembri and vocals).
