Béatrice Bienville

Béatrice Bienville is a writer and theatre director from Guadeloupe.

 

She joined the Dramaturgs department of ENSATT (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre) in 2015, from which she graduated in 2018. She then joined the Académie de la Comédie Française as a student director/dramaturg for the 2018/2019 season.

 

As an author, she wrote Thomas et Judith, sponsored by the Comédie de Valence and then directed by Alex Crestey, and La Véritable histoire de la Gorgone Méduse, a play written for the Lynceus Festival 2021, selected among the "coups de cœur 2020" of the Théâtre de la Tête Noire in Sarran, Prix Scenic Youth of the Comédie de Béthune 2021, and selected by the Collisions committee.

 

 

She is currently working on a project mixing writing, testimonies, painting and drawing, on the relationship to roots and exile among the French from overseas territories living in Paris.
