Anaïs Hazo

Anaïs Hazo was born in Paris in 1989. She studied fine arts, printmaking, publishing, design, fashion and environment. Anaïs is a researcher, artist and transdisciplinary designer.

She works on questioning and calming the paradoxes that inform our relationships to bodies, care and places. Her multi-faceted and committed practice translates into a protean body of work, based on a long journey of research. - For her, the process of elaboration of a work is as important as the objects it generates. Many of her works thus become real experimental lifestyles, in which she immerses herself entirely.

Hazo considers artistic production as a sensitive organism, in direct relation with the spaces that welcome it and the beings that meet and constitute it. In the current context of ecological and social emergency, she interacts with third places and self-managed territories, where she intertwines ancestral stories and contemporary mythologies, artifacts and daily life.

She invests the fields of design (objects, food, rituals, smells, environments), which she associates with the writing of texts linking narrative and theory. She also conducts collective practices of learning, conscious observation and care. Through these formats, she proposes to set in motion alternative forms of being-in-the-world.
