For reasons beyond our control, Anahita Hekmat's performance on Monday, December 2nd is cancelled.

During her residency at the Cité internationale des arts, Anahita Hekmat is working on the second part of her multidisciplinary project Les vitres tremblent et le ciel descend. In this project, she follows in the footsteps of an entire generation’s childhood memories of the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988). Through the people she meets, Anahita Hekmat is trying to reconstruct an episode of Iranian history that is very present in people's minds, but paradoxically also repressed and erased.

Anahita Hekmat (Iran) is a recipient of the Cité internationale des arts Visual Arts Committees.

For this project, she had a residency at Villa Bloch in Poitiers (as part of the Cité internationale des arts cross residencies programme) and received a travel grant from the Roberto Cimetta Fund mobility grant, as well as the support of the New Media Society in Tehran.
