In 2015, he participated in the exhibition Komm at the KIT Gallery in Düsseldorf and Drinking a Drink, Sinking a Ship at the V Art Center in Shanghai, China. In 2018, he exhibited his work in Europe, especially in Münster: at the Academy of Fine Arts in Münster and at PACT. But also, at the Villa de Bank Foundation in Enschede in the Netherlands. In 2020, Niklas was awarded a scholarship by the Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD) to continue his artistic research in Japan and to present his work at Docomo Inc. in Tokyo. At the end of 2022, he moved to Paris as part of an artistic residency at the Cité internationale des arts in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). During his time at the Cité internationale des arts, he participated in various activities like the collective screen-printing workshop.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and fellow artists.
